PT PII Gandeng Rumah Zakat Empowered By Village Community Economics
JAKARTA - PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) or PT PII cooperates with Rumah Zakat through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to empower the economy of the village community.
The village community economic empowerment program was implemented in two locations, namely Berdaya Karangmukti Village, Purwakarta Regency, West Java, and Berdaya Manggungsari Village, Kendal Regency, Central Java.
In Berdaya Karangmukti Village, Purwakarta, the program focuses on empowering women in agro-scale MSMEs ( raising sheep) and culinary (wet food).
For Manggungsari Empowered Village, Kendal, the program is in the form of supporting pangolin machine facilities for the needs of MSMEs for rice farmers.
The empowered village program is carried out through periodic coaching and mentoring activities that encourage people's independence, capacity building, and the economy, as a form of concern for the conditions of people's lives.
EVP Corporate Secretary & Communications of PT PII Yunan Novaris said this program is a form of PT PII's commitment to support community empowerment, especially in areas related to infrastructure projects supported by companies
"Our presence not only supports sustainable infrastructure development in the regions, but also we are trying to optimize the social and economic impacts in each project area that we support, especially in terms of community empowerment to continue developing MSMEs by utilizing local regional resources," Yunan said, quoted from Antara, Monday, December 26.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Zakat House Irvan Nugraha hopes that this program can create community independence in Berdaya Karangmukti Village, Purwakarta Regency, and Berdaya Manggungsari Village, Kendal Regency.
Rumah Zakat hopes that this collaboration can support sustainable economic growth for the village community.
Acting (Pj) Mangunsari Village Head Eko Basuki welcomed the assistance. "We are happy with this program, hopefully our village will be more empowered by the presence of the CSR program from PT PII," said Eko Basuki.
