PLN Completes High Voltage Electricity Projects In Central Sulawesi

PT PLN (Persero) has completed the construction of the 150 kilovolt (kV) Donggala Substation, 150 kV Incomer 2 Phi Donggala - Silae and 150 kV Incomer 2 SUTT Phi Donggala - Pasangkayu with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) achievement of 88.14 percent.

The operation of a number of high-voltage projects in Donggala has also further strengthened the electricity system in Central Sulawesi.

The Regent of Donggala Regency, Kasman Lassa expressed his appreciation to PLN for the completion of the construction of the electricity system in Donggala Regency.

"On behalf of the Regional Government and the people of Donggala Regency, we would like to thank PLN for building electricity infrastructure in the Donggala Regency area," said Kasman, in a written statement, Friday, December 16.

Kasman hopes that the presence of electricity infrastructure can be enjoyed by all Donggala people, which number more than 340 thousand people. This has an impact on improving the economic welfare of the community.

"I hope this electricity can be enjoyed by approximately 340,000 residents spread across 16 sub-districts, 9 sub-districts, 158 villages to improve the welfare of the people of all professions, namely fishermen, entrepreneurs, the service sector, services and others," said Kasman.

General Manager of PLN Development Main Unit (UIP) Sulawesi, Defiar Anis said, the operation of this infrastructure was marked by the first voltage (energy) for line 2 (sirkit II) on December 7, 2022 at 17.00 WITA and for line 1 (sirkit I) it was successfully energized on December 14, 2022 at 10.35 WITA.

Anis explained that the presence of this infrastructure is to increase reliability and meet the needs of electricity supply for the Donggala community. Because, so far the electricity supply in Donggala Regency has been supplied through the Silae and Pasangkayu substations.

"So far, the electricity supply for Donggala Regency has been supplied from GI 150 kV Silae and GI 150 kV Pasangkayu, where the location of the two substations is quite far, causing the quality of electricity supply to be not optimal, with GI 150 kV Donggala this will improve the quality of electricity supply for the Donggala community," said Anis.

Anis continued, this infrastructure is also to improve the reliability of the electricity system in Sulawesi in order to provide the best service quality for the Donggala community.

"The completion of the GI development is a form of PLN's commitment to meeting the electricity needs of the community, it is certain that the Donggala community can enjoy reliable electricity," continued Anis.
