JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono visited the Central Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) office to stay in touch ahead of his inauguration as TNI commander.He will be sworn in by President Joko Widodo as commander of the TNI to replace General TNI Andika Perkasa who will enter retirement in December 2022.In addition to making contact with the Central MUI management, Margono also inaugurated the Special Prayer Book for Indonesian Navy Soldiers initiated by the Indonesian Navy and MUI.His arrival was welcomed by the Deputy Chairperson of the MUI Leadership Council, KH Marsudi Syuhud, MUI Chair, KH M Cholil Nafis, MUI Secretary General, KH Amirsyah TambunanMargono said that he as the leader of the Indonesian Navy would like to express his deepest gratitude to all MUI kiai and ulama for their support in strengthening the faith of Indonesian Navy soldiers who work in the field every day by making pocket books.Namely, the Special Prayer Book for Indonesian Navy Soldiers which can be the guide of all Indonesian Navy soldiers in carrying out their duties.The Indonesian Navy's Special Prayer Book, he said, could help increase the confidence of all Indonesian Navy soldiers, especially those who are Muslims in carrying out their duties in their territory, especially those on duty on warships of the Republic of Indonesia or KRI."Of course this prayer book is very important for soldiers because it requires a guide for soldiers in carrying out their duties, so that it is easier for them to pray, what they will read when they face situations in carrying out their duties, especially tasks on warships, duty in troops, and duty on the outermost islands. Because indeed the duties of the Indonesian Navy are many on warships, on the outer islands as well, as in troops," he explained during a speech quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 14.In the book, he said, there were a lot of readings of prayers, such as prayers against enemies, prayers when surrounded by enemies, prayers when boarding warships, prayers when facing bad situations at sea.Meanwhile, Nafis said, this activity strengthens what was conveyed by the fathers of the Indonesian nation that this country was founded by two great powers, namely nationalism and both religious or religious forces.He believes that the book of special prayer collection of Indonesian Navy soldiers can strengthen the faith of Indonesian Navy soldiers in their duties, so that they are more humane and can prioritize humanity in their duties."We want our soldiers who work every day not only to have defensive abilities or skills, but we also want our soldiers to have a strength which under certain conditions can only be changed with prayer.
