BPBD Imbau Warga Tidak Perlu Panik Peringatan Dini Potensi Gerakan Tanah Di Jakarta
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) appealed to the people of Jakarta not to panic regarding the circulation of information on early warning of potential landslides at 10 points in the South Jakarta and East Jakarta areas.
Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Disaster Data and Information Processing Unit, Michael Sitanggang, stated that his party issued early warning information regarding the potential for ground movement so that people could anticipate it from the start.
"The point is that people don't need to panic about this information. Because of this information, we are aiming for it in the context of community preparedness. So that people can anticipate it from the start," explained Michael Sitanggang when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, December 6.
According to BPBD, the intensity of rain in December has not reached its peak, so there is no potential for ground movement in Jakarta at this time.
"The rainy cycle in December is still in rainy season status but the peak is predicted by the BMKG from January to February 2023. So throughout this month until next year we are ready for the community," he said.
Although there have been no incidents of landslides or landslides at 10 points in Jakarta, BPBD appealed to the public to immediately contact number 112 to carry out further handling.
"If there is a landslide emergency or other circumstances, you can contact 112," he said.
Previously, the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) asked the public to be aware of the potential for ground movement at 10 points in South Jakarta and East Jakarta.
The 10 points include South Jakarta, covering the areas of Cilandak, Jagakarsa, Kebayoran Baru, Kebayoran Lama, Mampang Prapatan, Pancoran, Pasar Minggu and Pesanggrahan sub-districts. Furthermore, in East Jakarta, covering the Kramat Jati and Pasar Rebo sub-districts.
