Isan Menteri Teten Usai Jajal Bicycle Bambu GORo: Bahan Basarnya Tidak Pernah Tergangan
Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki invites to get used to cycling in daily activities so that they consume less fossil fuels.
This was conveyed by Teten when launching the Bambu GORo Bike in the Nusa Dua area, Bali, which is a collaboration work from Spedagi from Temanggung, the United national bicycle factory at Citeureup West Java, and the Bambu Lestari Foundation.
"This bicycle has a very cool design, created by a world-class designer from a village in Temanggung, Pak Singgih who has won world-class awards for his bamboo products," said Teten in an official statement, Jakarta, Friday, November 18.
The launch of the bicycle made from the bamboo frame is a form of implementing the green mobility concept after the sustainability of the G20 Summit (KTT) in Bali.
In the future, the Coordinating Minister will encourage the production and quality of the bicycle to increase domestically so that it can be exported into the global market. Together with the Minister of Transportation, he continued, they will support bamboo bicycles as part of the start of green mobility.
On this occasion, the Coordinating Minister for cycling with the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi using the Bambu GORo Nusantara Bike in the Nusa Dua area, Bali. Budi said that the GORo bike is comfortable and comfortable to wear.
"Trying this bicycle is very delicious and proud, this is a product using bamboo as the basic ingredient that we may not have thought of before. The basic ingredients are bamboo made by Pak Singgih, a creator from Temanggung in collaboration with United," he said as quoted by Antara.
Singgih Kartono's bamboo bike manager and curator said the GORo Nusantara bamboo bike was realized in mutual cooperation (supply chain collaboration) between villages and cities by involving Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the national bicycle industry, engineers, craftsmen, experts and academics, activists, and mothers of bamboo farmers.
This 'Bambu GORo Nusantara Bike' is actually a manifestation of the values of Pancasila in a product. This morning, we made history by making products that have the spirit of Gotong Royong or Goro and gotong royong into something very important for life now," said Singgih.
The Bambu GORo Nusantara bike has a larger rear wheel which is a symbol of developed countries as a force driver. The front wheels are smaller as symbols of developing countries to be given the opportunity to determine direction.
This Nusantara Bambu GORo bike is made of bamboo as an icon of environmentally friendly material so it is considered to be the perfect green mobility icon. This is because bicycles are a practical and cheap means of transportation, while bamboo materials are widely available materials and have a big tradition in the country.
Through the G20 Summit which has just been completed, it is hoped that there will be momentum that can be created to get used to the tradition of cycling in Indonesia and popularize bicycles with bamboo bicycles designed and produced by themselves.
United Owner and Director Henry Mulyadi said his party supports Spedagi to build bamboo bicycles, while the Bambu Lestari Foundation is a provider of raw materials.
"We will produce with greater quantity through this collaboration. Because, so far, only 15-20 units of Spedagi have been produced, we plan to build 500 units per month," said Henry.
Regarding prices, his party seeks to set below IDR 5 million to make it more economical, so that it is more affordable by the general public.
The construction of this bamboo bicycle was carried out with the Bambu Lestari Foundation which provided raw materials, then the bamboo was processed by Spedagi for frames, and United helped make frames by assembling spare parts. The Domestic Content Level (TKDN) for the bamboo bicycle production reaches 80 percent.
