A total of 14 drug dealers in the Senen area have been arrested by the Senen Police Criminal Investigation Unit for 1 month. The perpetrators were arrested from the Senen area to Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.

"We arrested them at a number of points, such as Bungur, Kwitang, Kenari, Senen to the Johar Baru area," said Senen Police Chief Kompol David Purba when confirmed, Friday, November 18.

From the statements of the perpetrators, the drugs sold by dealers are generally the type of methamphetamine. Kompol David said that the targets of the drug dealers were all users, from young to old.

Transactions of dealers in circulating are quite brave because direct transactions on the side of the road.

"Their transactions are quite brave because they are directly on the side of the road. We arrested them because of the patrol results of officers and complaints from the public," he said.

In addition, Kompol David said these drug dealers sometimes store their illicit goods in the family, such as wives or the nuclear family. The practice is to outwit officers at the time of his arrest.

"Usually the dealer doesn't hold the drugs, they are entrusted to the family. That's their way of tricking members," he said.

In order to account for their actions, a number of drug dealers were charged with terms 114 paragraphs 1 and 2 with a threat of 20 years in prison.
