President Jokowi: This G20 Presidency is the Toughest in History

BADUNG - President Joko Widodo said that the current G20 Presidency of Indonesia is the toughest presidency in the history of the G20 Summit, because it was carried out in an unusual situation.

"This presidency is indeed the toughest in the history of the G20, and Indonesia will work hard", said Jokowi during a bilateral meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on the sidelines of the G20 Indonesia Summit at The Apurva Kempinski Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 14th.

Jokowi said various kinds of crises are currently happening and continue to be faced by all countries in the world. According to him the only option to tackle the challenge is to work together.

"I hope that the cooperation between Indonesia and the European Union and ASEAN-EU can continue to be improved", he hoped.

Today President Joko Widodo held a bilateral meeting with a number of heads of state and G20 delegations.

Previously, President Jokowi had met with United States President Joe Biden, as well as Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, at the same location.
