Telkom Prepares 11.2 GBPS Internet to Support the G20 Summit in Bali
JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) ensures reliable telecommunication and internet services for delegates of the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali.
This was stated by Director of Network & IT Solution Telkom Herlan Wijanarko when holding a readiness meeting for the special task force for securing the peak of the G20 Indonesia Presidency at the Telkom Witel office, Denpasar, Bali, Saturday, November 12.
Herlan said that until now, TelkomGroup's infrastructure support for the G20 event consists of domestic backbone infrastructure with expansion up to 100Tbps, including international gateways through Manado Gateway and Batam Gateway with total traffic of up to 8,961 Tbps, 2,070 Wifi access, 64,931 ODP IndiHome, 7,570 Telkomsel BTS, system cyber security, to the STO power system.
Specifically for the five main venues of the G20 Summit, TelkomGroup has prepared internet of 11.2 Gbps, Wifi 777 AP, Telkomsel 29 BTS, and Metro 1 Gbps. Telkom also guarantees 99.9% SLG with maximum resolution time for handling network disturbances and securing no data leakage.
Apart from the capacity and quality of infrastructure, Telkom also ensures to be able to successfully provide the best customer experience during the G20 Summit.
In welcoming the peak of the G20 Summit, Telkom provided 72 security posts and as many as 1,997 personnel who were deployed to monitor TelkomGroup services during the event, including experts and technicians who were on standby at the location.
In addition, TelkomGroup services are also equipped with a monitoring system using reliable and integrated IT Tools.
The special task force's readiness call was held today to ensure that the overall support for the main infrastructure system, as well as its backups, has been well prepared and can operate optimally during the event.
Herlan Wijanarko stated that the preparation was an opportunity to capture the mandate from the Government and Telkom's commitment to supporting the success of the G20 event which has been prepared since May 2022 and will continue to be monitored and maintained until the peak of the G20 Summit next week.

Herlan Wijanarko explained that the G20 event provides very strategic value not only for the country but also for Telkom as the main digital infrastructure service provider throughout the event until the summit of the forum which globally controls 60 percent of the world's population, 75 percent of world trade and 80 percent of gross domestic product (GDP)
