Unidentified Body Found In A Tangerang Well, Patients With Mental Disorders

TANGERANG - Police said the body found in a 1.5 meter deep well in the Kadu Jaya area, Curug, Tangerang Regency, Thursday, November 3, was suspected of being a person with a mental disorder (ODGJ).

The Head of the Curug Police, AKP Bambang Sugiharto, explained that based on the investigation, there were some residents who had seen the person who looked like the body going naked, pacing near the area.

Moreover, said Bambang, there were no signs of crime on the victim's body.

"At first glance, there is no abuse, usually if the corpse of the crime is exposed like that. And this is not tied up," said Bambang when confirmed, Friday, November 11.

Residents previously saw naked ODGJ only wearing pants. (Then) when connected to the man's corpse, it is likely the same," he continued.

Based on the examination of witnesses as well, none of the residents knew the victim. The ODGJ allegedly fell into the well.

"The sign of knowing yourself or evidence of myself and local residents so far has not admitted that there are families who feel lost," he concluded.

As previously reported, an unidentified man was found dead without clothes in the excavation of a 1.5 meter deep well in the Kadu Jaya area, Curug, Tangerang Regency.

Tangerang Regency BPBD Head of Emergency and Logistics Abdul Munir said the discovery of the corpse began with a resident (witness) who was fishing in the area, on Thursday night, November 3.

"A unidentified corpse has been found, a prone position without clothes, male gender, age is not yet known," Munir said in a short message, Friday, November 4. At that time the witness smelled an unpleasant odor, until finally a check was carried out at the crime scene (TKP).

It turned out to be true, a corpse was in a well. On that basis, residents reported the relevant agencies, for evacuation.
