Kemenkumham Start Applicating Visa Payments Online
JAKARTA - The Directorate General (Ditjen) of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) has started implementing the electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) and e-Visa payments online (payment gateway)."Payment gateway is a joint effort to provide easy immigration services and to support the national investment climate," said Acting Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Widodo Ekatjahjana in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, November 6.This policy is in line with the issuance of Regulation Number 157/PMK.02/2022 by the Ministry of Finance which regulates the payment of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) visas within the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and is valid from 4 November 2022.Widodo conveyed that this regulation inaugurated the payment gateway as a visa payment method, both e-VoA and e-Visa after previously payments could only be made through billing and cash codes for VoA.Payment gateway is a mechanism that reads and transfers payment information from a customer to a provider bank account. The system will capture data, ensure funds are available, and payments."Payment gateway this time is specifically for visa payments. What is currently possible is payment via credit card and mastercard debit, visa and JCB," he added.He is optimistic that this system will open up the potential for tourism and the economy at large in Indonesia as well as a milestone for the innovation of public services of the Directorate General of Immigration.Finally, the policy is believed to affect the economy in the tourism sector, including against facilitated multinational business deals and have implications for the presence of new job openings."The application of payment gateway in the visa system is intended to unravel the queue for visa on-arrival payments at the bank counter," he added.
