Ganjar: Earlier I Contacted The Leadership Of The Council, They Said They Were Ready To Fix The Central Java RKPD

Governor Ganjar Pranowo emphasized that the discussion of the Central Java Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) is still ongoing and there has been no decision. He said, there are still some things that must be evaluated before it is decided together.

"If today the discussion is still ongoing, yes, the decision is not yet. Only yesterday I asked for an evaluation of the existing proposals," explained Ganjar in Semarang, Friday, November 4.

He mentioned several things, including equitable distribution in regencies/cities which are still lame, especially regarding proposals from members of the Central Java DPRD.

Regarding this matter, Ganjar admitted that he had communicated with several members of the council, including the existing leaders.

"Alhamdulillah, some of my council friends, including earlier I contacted all of my leaders, one by one and they said, ready, sir, it has been repaired," he said.

Then what becomes Ganjar's evaluation and emphasis is on budgeting because in the midst of this bad situation, expenditure must be economical and focused.

Expenditures that are not too important must be suppressed and transferred to issues that are a priority in society.

"I also ask that in the midst of this bad situation, we can save on our lives and focus. Where the budget to be spent for them can be handled. For example, we need poverty, let's poverty, the HDI must be taken care of so that the budget that is not too important is directed here," he said.

According to Ganjar, everything that is proposed and evaluated is just waiting for a political decision and the process is still ongoing, both the government (executive) and the (legislative) council must have an agreement so that what is decided is in accordance with the priority and for the benefit of the people.

"It's just a political decision. The government wants to, we just need to invite our council friends to agree, it's in the process," he said.

Previously, Central Java Provincial Secretary Sumarno said the length of the RKPD discussion was because the Central Java DPRD proposed an additional budget of Rp92 billion, including it being used for official travel for council members who were proposed per month as much as 29 times or 29 days per month.

"The Governor highlighted this, please communicate with the council, it can be reduced for the people's priority program," he said.

According to the Regional Secretary, the communication process takes a long time.

"After being communicated, there was a reduction in the Rp7 billion budget and there was also a reduction in sarpras, bringing the total to Rp11 billion, one of which was for land acquisition for Pujon Market in the Borobudur area," he said.
