Bank Mandiri Holds Mandiri Sustainability Forum As A Sustainable Economic Support Effort
JAKARTA PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. officially held the Mandiri Sustainability Forum (MSF) as part of its commitment to support sustainable business development in Indonesia.
Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi said this step was in line with the company's business direction which was also consistent in adopting Energy, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices more broadly, including in the company's operations.
The energy and geopolitical crisis has shifted the issue of sustainability into energy availability. However, we believe that the issue of ESG has become mainstream. Even though there is a shock, this remains important going forward," he said on Wednesday, November 2.
According to Darmawan, the MSF initiative aims to provide discussion platforms for business people, the government and other business actors related to the potential and challenges of ESG in the future, both at the global and national levels.
