CCTV At TransJakarta Bus Stop Connected To Metro Jaya Police

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police is connecting surveillance cameras (CCTV) installed at the TransJakarta bus stop with the police command center to monitor and take immediate action if a crime occurs.

"We want the CCTV at the busway stop to be connected to the Command Center at Metro Jaya Police so that it can be monitored if a crime occurs," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 1.

This was conveyed by Fadil during a meeting with the board of directors of PT Transport Jakarta (TransJakarta) at the Mako Metro Jaya Police, Tuesday.

Metro Jaya Police will also use television screens installed at TransJakarta bus stops to convey various messages and appeals for security and public order (kamtibmas).

"The TV that is inside the busway is to display appeals for all forms of security and social order," said Fadil.

On the same occasion, President Director of PT Transport Jakarta (TransJakarta) Mochammad Yana Aditya expressed his appreciation to all ranks of Metro Jaya Police who have helped secure TransJakarta operations.

"Metro Jaya Police has collaborated to carry out an MoU with us, currently as many as 150 personnel from Metro Jaya Police including Traffic Personnel and Personnel Pam Obvit have joined and helped a lot and secured the busway line," Yana said.

Yana also wants to establish better cooperation with Metro Jaya Police to provide better services for the community

"We hope that the Metro Jaya Police Chief will support the activities of PT Transport Jakarta that we are working on so that they can collaborate well," he said.
