Fleeing From Officers, PMKS In Menteng Desperately Throws Himself Into Ciliwung River
JAKARTA – A person with social welfare problems (PMKS) was desperate to throw himself into the Ciliwung river, Latuharhary Street, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, when he wanted to bring order to the joint officers, Satpol PP, Social Service TNI, and Polri, Tuesday 1 November.
Despite escaping, the officers managed to bring three PMKS for guidance by the Social Service.
Deputy Head of the Menteng Sub-district, Agung Maulana Saleh, said dozens of joint officers routinely held PPKS outreach along Latuharhary Street, Central Jakarta.
"Three PPKS were successfully secured and one other person escaped by jumping and swimming across the Ciliwung River," Agung said, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 1.
Agung said that the officers had asked PMKS who jumped into the river to return, but continued to swim across the Ciliwung River which entered the South Jakarta area.

"Luckily the PPKS who jumped safely did not get carried away by the current of the Ciliwung River," he said.
Agung also revealed that PMKS outreach along Latuharhary Street prioritizes areas under the bridge, under the edge of the Electric Rail Train (KRL) and pedestrian walkways.
"The three PPKS that were successfully secured by officers were immediately taken to the Central Jakarta Social Service Sub-dept, to be handed over to the Kedoya Social Institution," he said.
