Police Say There Are 4 Reports of Prostitution and Drugs in Kalibata City Apartments, Managers Are Asked to Ban Daily Rental Services

JAKARTA - South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indrahadi, discussed the socialization of the ban on the daily rental of apartments based on DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 133 of 2019.

Since 2020, Ade revealed that there have been four reports of prostitution practices and two reports of drug abuse at the Kalibata City Apartment.

On Saturday night, Ade directly led the socialization regarding the daily rental limit for apartments in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta.

Ade said the socialization of the regulation was to prevent criminal acts, such as prostitution, drugs, and the presence of illegal foreign nationals.

Ade had a dialogue with the managers of the Kalibata Apartment and Pancoran District to socialize DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 133 of 2019 concerning Guidance on the Management of Owned Flats.

General Manager of Kalibata City, Martiza Melati supports the steps taken by the South Jakarta Metro Police to anticipate crime in apartment settlements.

Martiza said that the Kalibata City Apartment manager will socialize the limitation of daily apartment rentals in stages.
