Angkot Falls Into Trench, Passenger And Driver Dies

PANDEGLANG - Two people were reported to have died in a single accident that was experienced by an angkot (public transportation) car on the Mengger-Mandalawangi Highway, precisely in Cibaru Village, Kupahandap Village, Cimanuk District, Pandeglang Regency, Wednesday afternoon, October 26 at around 16.30 WIB.

Kasatlantas Pandeglang Police AKP Jeany Viadiniati said the angkot with the gray Suzuki Carry car type A 1944 KW driven by JJ (69) was carrying two passengers, RN (46) and AA (50).

Jeany explained that JJ the angkot driver drove from Mandalawangi to Mengger.

"At the crime scene the vehicle lost control and swerved to the right of the road, then fell into a ditch about 5 meters deep, and then the victims were evacuated to the Berkah Pandeglang Hospital," said Jeany in a written statement, Thursday, October 27.

Jeany added that JJ the driver and RN the passenger died, while AA suffered a number of injuries on his body.

"After receiving the report, we went to the crime scene, carried out the crime scene, checked the victim at the hospital, recorded drivers and witnesses, secured evidence, documentation," she explained.
