COVID-19 Update as of October 26: New Cases of 3,048, Recovery Increases 1,458
JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 58,969 specimens were examined with the result of 3,048 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 6,478,720 people and active cases rose by 1,566 to 21,481 cases", said Task Force data, Wednesday, October 26.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1,458 cases, bringing the total to 6,298,740 recovered people. Then, 24 positive confirmations died and a total of 158,499 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,066 cases and a total of 1,442,772 cases. Followed by West Java with 428 new cases with a total of 1,187,293 cases. East Java has 372 new cases and a total of 611,150 cases. Then, Banten with 266 new cases and a total of 341,321 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 475 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 304 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 173 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 144 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 110,194,348.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 7.41 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,751 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 205,111,340 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,828.28. people underwent a second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 64,877,879 people and the fourth dose was 662,375 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
