4 of 6 Toddlers in Tangerang Regency Died in Cipto Mangun Kusumo Hospital Due to Acute Kidney Failure

TANGERANG – Four children under five from six patients with acute kidney disorders in Tangerang Regency, Banten died. This was conveyed by the Head of the Health Services Division at the Tangerang District Health Office, Dr. Faridz in Tangerang, Tuesday, October 25.

"Of the six patients being treated at the Cipto Mangun Kusumo Hospital, Jakarta for the period from July to October 2022, four children under five died", said Dr. Faridz, quoting Antara, Tuesday, October 25.

He said that out of the four cases of death due to acute kidney disease, one child was five years old, one was two years old, and one was one year old. And all four are residents of Tangerang Regency.

"So the one who died was a female toddler and three boys", he said.

He said this toddler patient with kidney disorders died after intensive care at the dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) Jakarta since a few months ago.

"And all of them died during treatment at Cipto Mangun Kusumo Hospital or RSCM, Jakarta", he said.

Previously, as many as six cases of acute kidney disease in children aged 0 to 5 years had been found in Tangerang Regency, based on information from the Cipto Mangun Kusumo Hospital (RSCM), Jakarta, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to him, of the six patients who were detected as having acute kidney disorders, they came from the Districts of Balaraja, Cikupa, Binong, Mauk, Teluknaga, and Sepatan.
