West Java Bapenda: The Potential For Bodong Vehicles In West Java Achieves 7.4 Million Units

This potential means that the STNK data can be deleted because it does not use opportunities and does not heed warnings," said Head of Bapenda West Java Province, Dedi Taufik, in Bandung, quoted from Antara, Monday 24 October.Dedi said that the rules regarding the deletion of vehicle data are contained in Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ) Article 74.In this article, paragraph (2) states that the abolition of vehicle registration is carried out for vehicles that do not re-register at least two years after the validity period of their STNK.He said the vehicle unit that was included in the list of data deletion, because for five years the STNK died, it was not extended, then in that period of time it was added that two years did not pay taxes.This means, overall, there is a time lag of up to seven years for vehicle owners to complete their obligations. In the process, the vehicle owner is given a warning to the vehicle owner for several months."The data was deleted, not confiscated (the vehicle). Previously, we and the police also did not immediately delete the data," he said.He said efforts to socialize and educate regarding the policy of implementing vehicle data deletion would be carried out massively in West Java, including efforts to implement a tax bleaching program from July to August 2022.Dedi said the data on 7.4 million vehicles was obtained from all areas of the West Java Regional Regional Revenue Management Center (P3DW) in the first half of 2022.Of the 34 P3DW areas of West Java Bapenda, there are five areas with the highest vehicle data deletion potential, including Bekasi Regency 791.850 units, Bekasi City 773.145 units.Then, Bogor Regency 697.492 units, Bandung City 673.204 units and Depok City 565.807 units of motorized vehicles.Previously, the Head of Traffic Police, Inspector General of Police Firman Shantyabudi, stated that his party and related stakeholders immediately enforced the rules for removing vehicle data.This is expected to increase public compliance with taxes and increase the validity of motor vehicle data."We want us to make sure this data is valid because with valid data, the government can take policies.
