JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Health Office (Jaksel) admitted that if there were findings of a case of one 5-year-old child who was reported to be infected with acute kidney failure.

"Only one in South Jakarta has been reported at the RSCM, aged five years," said Head of the South Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Yudi Dimyati, Friday, October 21.

On that basis, Yudi asked parents to increase supervision of their children. The goal is to ensure that his baby is not affected by the disease.

Furthermore, to find out if the child is not indicated, he asks parents to give their children any water without any mixture. After that, pay attention whether within six hours throwing the water small or not.

"If within 6 hours there is no urinating then there must be early vigilance from parents to check their children at health facilities," he concluded.

Previously reported, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the temporary ban on mild medicine for children was a conservative step to prevent the spread of acute kidney failure.

This step was taken while waiting for an examination by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) regarding their findings about three dangerous chemicals inbit drugs.

"Indeed, 99 toddlers have died, 99 toddlers who have acute kidney failure have been detected as having 3 dangerous chemicals, namely Ethylene Glycol (EG), Diethylene Glycol (DEG), and Ethylene Glycol Butyl Ether (EGBE)," said Budi Gunadi in Serang, Banten, Thursday, October 20.
