Progres Pembangunan Capai 99 Percent, Pelabuhan Tanjung Alur Bakal Jadi Jalur Perdagangan CPO Dan Timah
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the construction of the Tanjung Snake Port in West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel), has entered its final stage.
Tanjung Snake Port will later become an entry and exit point for transporting crude palm oil (CPO) to tin.
"99 percent has been completed, only in the finishing stage and we hope that with Tanjung Snake Port, the mobility of goods, especially CPOs, especially tins, can be through Tanjung Snake Port," Jokowi said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 20.
"So there is good competitiveness for good products originating from West Bangka Regency and Bangka Belitung Province," Jokowi continued.
The port manager is temporarily carried out by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), but it can be transferred to the regional government (Pemda).
"Temporary managers by the Ministry of Transportation because this port of feeders can be donated to the regional government, but we must first participate so that the management is good," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya.
Jokowi added that the Ministry of Transportation would resign if the management of the regional government was deemed ready.
"At the beginning, the management by the Ministry of Transportation would then the local government would accompany it, if it was deemed that the ministry was ready to resign, it would be taken over by the regional government, I think it would be good in every port like that because this is indeed a port of feeder," said President Jokowi.
For your information, Tanjung Snake Port is located in Muntok District, West Bangka Regency, has a dock of 80 x 10 meters and it is hoped that by the end of 2022 all work can be completed to facilitate the connectivity of goods/logistics.
Tanjung Snake Port also has the ability to accommodate up to 1,500 Gros Tons (GT), the depth and capacity of the port which is made 30 meters.
