The Trade Balance Of The Republic Of Indonesia In September 2022 Experiences a Surplus 4.99 Billion US Dollars, This Is The Motivater
JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia's goods trade balance experienced a surplus of 4.99 billion US dollars in September 2022, with exports of 24.80 billion US dollars and 19.81 billion US dollars in imports.
"So, Indonesia's trade balance until September 2022 posted a surplus of 29 in a row if we look at it since May 2020," said Deputy for Distribution Statistics and Services at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Setianto as quoted by Antara, Monday, October 17.
Setianto said that the trade balance surplus was supported by the trade balance of non-oil and gas commodities of 7.09 billion US dollars, with commodities contributing to the largest surplus, namely mineral fuels, vegetable fats and animal oils, as well as iron and steel.
Meanwhile, the trade balance of oil and gas commodities still experienced a deficit of US$ 2.10 billion with the main commodities contributing to the deficit were crude oil and oil products.
Setianto explained that there were three countries that contributed to Indonesia's largest trade balance surplus, namely the United States, India and the Philippines.
Trade with the US experienced a surplus of 1.26 billion US dollars with the main commodities being machinery and electrical equipment; footwear, and vegetable animal fats and oils.
Meanwhile, India experienced a surplus of 1.22 billion US dollars with the largest contributor to the surplus in commodities of vegetable fats and oils, mineral fuels, and steel.
Then the Philippines had a surplus of 1.1 billion US dollars, with the main contributors to the surplus of mineral fuels, vehicles and parts, metal ores, slag and ash.

In addition to the surplus, there are three countries that have the largest deficit. The first is Australia's deficit of USD 647.5 million with the main commodities being mineral fuels, cereals, as well as precious metals, and jewelry.
Then Thailand experienced a deficit of USD 334 million with its main commodities being machinery and mechanical equipment and parts thereof, plastics and plastic goods, as well as vehicles and their parts.
The last is the trade deficit with Brazil, which has a deficit of 263.1 million US dollars with the main commodities being pulp and the rest of the food industry, sugar and confectionery, and animal meat.
Thus, Indonesia's trade balance in January-September 2022 experienced a surplus of 39.87 billion US dollars with a non-oil and gas trade balance surplus of 58.75 billion US dollars and an oil and gas trade balance deficit of 18.89 billion US dollars.
