Heavy Rain Causes Floods and Landslides in Kenalan Hamlet of Borobudur
MAGELANG - Heavy rains that occurred in the Magelang Regency, Central Java, caused flash floods and landslides in Kenalan III Hamlet, Kenalan Village, Borobudur District.
Head of Kenalan Village, Borobudur District, Agus Waluyo, said the incident resulted in damage to two houses, 11 goats, and 17 ducks buried by landslides. The landslide material is thought to have come from the hamlet above it.
"Floods and landslides caused in Wonolelo Hamlet are suspected to have caused flash floods in Kenalan III", he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 11.
Head of BPBD Magelang Regency Edi Wasono said the disaster occurred around 13.00 WIB.

In addition, the flood also cut off the paralon pipe network for irrigation of one hamlet.
