Residents Of The Gembrong Market Fire Victims Already Have Decent Living Houses
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurated Gembrong Gembrong, RW 01, Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Friday, October 7th. A total of 138 houses on the 2nd floor are ready to be inhabited by residents. Please note, the village construction was carried out for 5 months.
"A pilot village in DKI Jakarta. This is an example of a village whose buildings are arranged for health, each house gets fresh air, not humid and stuffy," said DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the location, Friday, October 7.
Anies explained that the place should be used again by residents and returned to be friendly. Gembrong's happy village called Anies is an example of a village that brings together zero run off.
"All villages have infiltration wells. There are 16 infiltration wells with a depth of 60 meters. The rainwater that falls is put into the ground, not thrown out. The water management is environmentally friendly, the village facing the river. Make this place a lesson," he said.
In addition, the construction of the Gembrong Gembrong Gembrong Village was felt by residents who were victims of a violent market fire a few months ago. Rasiti (70) is one of the residents who has lived in the area since the age of 10 who felt happy after her house changed to be more worthy.
Rasiti pun menjadi salah satu warga yang mendapatkan pemberian kunci langsung dari Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.
"Thank you to the Governor. In the past my house was a hut, now after the incident it became feasible again. Thank God now. Take good care of it, don't waste it," he said giving a message to other residents.
From VOI's observation at the location, Kampung Gembrong looks attractive because of the colorful color paint and images that adorn the walls of the house.
However, the access section of the road or alley in front of the door of the house is only about 1 square meter wide. The house building is also still limited to 2 floors in each house.
The bases of the house on the 2nd floor are thought to be made of wood material and plywood sheets, not concrete. On the 2nd floor of the house there is a balcony which only has a width of 30 centimeters with a length of 1 meter.
Each house building has a bathroom equipped with a squat toilet and a water tap. Meanwhile, the connecting stairs between the 1st floor to the 2nd floor are made of iron which is about 40 cm wide.
"The total building is all financed by the government," he said.
