NasDem Sudah Deklarasi Anies Jadi Capres Di Pilpres 2024, Tapi Janji Tetap Support Pemerintahan Jokowi

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party promises to continue to support the governments of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma'ruf Amin even though it has officially declared the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"NasDem wants to emphasize his commitment to continue supporting the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government until the end of his term of office," said NasDem Party Chairman Surya Paloh when declaring Anies at NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Monday, October 3.

Surya emphasized that there was no difference between his party and the Jokowi-Ma'ruf government. Thus, he ensured that NasDem would continue to oversee despite the shortcomings here and there.

"There is no difference whatsoever in principle," he said.

"There must be a shortage and this is the task of friends, party duties and this is the task of friends, the task of parties within the governing coalition to always oversee with those, good intentions, what is best for a good government for a good government for this nation and country," continued Surya.

Previously, the NasDem Party had declared Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in the presidential election. Surya stated that this was the best choice his party had taken.

Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan admitted that he was ready to become a presidential candidate for the NasDem Party in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"We accept Bismillah, we are ready," said Anies in front of the General Chair of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh.

Anies believes that his advancement as a presidential candidate will serve him. Therefore, the former Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) will continue to strive.

"By asking for prayers, God willing, this long journey will not be a tough journey but a light journey," he said.

"We prepare this effort as a form of worship," Anies continued.
