Prevent Criminal Action Among Students, Police Visit 41 Socialized Schools For Bad Impacts Of Brawls And Drugs
JAKARTA - The Cilandak Sector Police (Polsek) socializes drug prevention, brawls, and illegal racing routinely in 41 schools by going directly to these schools.
"We have a safari of 41 schools in Cilandak District every day provide socialization through Bhabinkamtibmas (Bhayangkara Pembina Keamanan dan Ketertiban Masyarakat)," said Cilandak Police Chief Kompol Multazam Lisendra, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 28.
Multazam said schools that were targeted for socialization were Junior High Schools (SMP), High School (SMA), Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) equivalent.
The socialization was carried out after returning home from school in collaboration with the sub-district and school principals.
His party also appealed to students to go home immediately and not to gather on the side of the road to reduce non-essential activities.
According to Multazam, during school hours children are the responsibility of the teacher. Once at home, the responsibility turns to the parents.
However, when the child is outside the school and home environment, his party as law enforcer is responsible so that the child is not involved in criminal acts.
Meanwhile, Multazam assessed that the cause of the brawl had various factors, ranging from disagreements on social media to searching for identity in the midst of association.
However, committing criminal acts such as using drugs and brawls is not a solution so that it can be admitted, he said.
There are many useful activities that young people can do, ranging from pursuing hobbies such as sports to art activities.
Multazam hopes that with this socialization, students will have the awareness that the time they have is better used to do useful things.
"We are trying to come to ball pick-up schools, give children awareness that brawls are not good, not important, harming many people," he said.
