Ganjar Mau UMKM Central Java Rises Level, Teachs How To Sell Through "Bootcamp"
JAKARTA - Around 150 people out of 100 MSME players throughout Central Java and 50 youths driving the economy were selected to take part in the bootcamp for the Indonesian Digital Root Movement, which was held in Kandri Tourism Village, Semarang City. Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the training was a way to educate, so that MSMEs in this province could advance to class.
This is how we educate them so that if our SMEs want to develop, they have to advance to class. Previously, it was conveyed how to sell online, what credibility was tested, the order must be able to get orders as expected with an okay time. So thank you earlier, they have been taught to take photos, take photos of their products, teach how to packaging, how to manage. I think they need to know. That's the most important thing," said Ganjar, after opening the bootcamp event for the Indonesian Digital Roots Movement.
Ganjar explained that training for MSME actors also continues to be carried out by Central Java, through the Cooperatives and MSMEs Service. The spaces that become meeting points to share experiences and learn about digital marketing, such as Hetero Space, have also been provided. It is only the will of MSME actors to access it.
"We have to practice continuously. We have Hetero Space, have the MSME Cooperative Service, they accompany us in contemporary style. They can chat through social media, come, meet, land coffee, can be together, and we go around. We have it in Semarang, in Solo, now it is being built in Banyumas. And later we will prepare it at Pantura so that it becomes their meeting point," explained Ganjar, Friday, September 24.
He added, based on the experience gained from meetings with MSME actors, the first problem faced by the perpetrators was the product knowledge. This is related to whether their products are good or not. According to Ganjar, it requires a fair and objective assessment.
"That's why I tested it earlier, whether your product is good or not, let's judge it, it has to be fair. Is this good, this is not good, you have to dare to talk, dare to correct to reflect," said Ganjar, who had a dialogue with participants regarding their respective products.
The next problem is capital. For this reason, the provincial government has tried to open and facilitate access to capital for MSME actors. Banking is collaborated to be able to provide loans with low interest rates, in order to solve this problem. This includes cooperating with Baznas and CSR, to provide training and access to capital.
Finally, this should not be left behind, there must be someone to accompany. If then those who don't understand, they will be accompanied. Why don't my products sell, they understand. Maybe there is something less than what you have. This is the assistance that must be given," he said.
For the development of digital marketing, Ganjar also collaborates with young people through Hetero Space. These young people have creativity and can provide very good product reviews.
Earlier there was also input from Lazada so that sellers or MSME players pay close attention to the products sold in the marketplace. Do not let buyers or consumers be disappointed when they receive goods. Also don't be late in sending them. This is the role of the private sector, especially those who already have a market," he said.
Lazada's Executive Director, Ferry Kusnowo, said that the development of sellers entering the Lazada marketplace in the past year has increased rapidly. The biggest increase actually occurred during the pandemic, where many people were buying and selling online.
But it still needs to be improved. From our data, consumer demand from Central Java is very high, but only about 15 percent of sellers from Central Java are able to meet that need. The remaining 85 percent are still met by sellers from outside Central Java," he said.
