Amartha, Former Staff Fintech Jokowi Sales Business Capital Of Rp250 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Amartha Micro Fintek collaborated with the East Java (East Java) BPR to distribute business capital to women micro entrepreneurs with a commitment of Rp250 billion.

The collaboration between Amartha and the East Java BPR aims to expand access to capital for MSMEs in East Java and partly in Central Java.

Distribution of funding will target women micro-entrepreneurs engaged in the trade, services, and household industries sectors. This collaboration uses a channeling credit pattern.

Amartha's Chief Operating Officer, Budhi Siswoadji, said that his party always collaborates with various parties to accelerate the growth of Indonesian MSMEs.

Specifically on the island of Java, Amartha will distribute capital in the amount ranging from Rp. 3 million to Rp. 15 million.

"With this amount, of course the segment we are targeting is grassroots MSMEs, because this segment has great potential to develop but is constrained by access to financial services," Budhi said in an official statement, Friday, September 23.

For information, Amartha has reached more than 170,000 special MSME partners in the East Java region, with a total operational points of 118 points.

East Java Province has the most partners compared to other provinces on the island of Java, due to the synergized support from the banking sector.

The East Java BPR has more than 20 years of experience in developing MSMEs in the East Java region.

Through access to finance, the East Java BPR realized its vision to participate in driving the economy of the East Java region through the empowerment of MSMEs.

"Amartha is already experienced in this field, and has a very healthy performance, as evidenced by the stable NPL figure below 0.5 percent. Through this collaboration, the East Java BPR hopes to increase the productive credit portfolio as well as support East Java MSMEs to be more advanced," he said.

The East Java BPR is optimistic that Amartha will develop technology, the distribution of capital for MSME actors will be easier and measurable.

Although the grassroots segment has great potential to grow, not all companies are able to develop qualified technology to work on this segment.

Moreover, while economic conditions are showing weakness, business capital assistance and technology support are the key for MSMEs to be able to survive and continue to innovate.

Just so you know, Amartha has so far distributed more than eight trillion rupiah of capital to more than 1.2 million ultra micro entrepreneurs spread across 35,000 villages in Indonesia.

Budhi added that Amartha always strives to strengthen business performance in East Java.

In addition to collaborating with banks to channel capital, Amartha also provides financial and digital literacy training, as well as business assistance for partners.

"We believe that synergies with all stakeholders, both with banks and our employees in the field, can help ultra micro business actors to develop their business and bring prosperity to their families," concluded Budhi.
