COVID-19 Cases In Babel Added, Residents Asked To Return To Prokes

JAKARTA - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that there were nine more patients exposed to the corona virus, bringing the total active COVID-19 patients undergoing isolation to 79 people.

Secretary of the Babel COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Mikron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, said that based on the latest data on COVID-19 cases, nine cases of people exposed to the corona virus were spread across West Bangka 4, Pangkalpinang 2, Bangka, Central Bangka and Belitung each with 1 case of COVID-19.

"Today only East Belitung and South Bangka without the addition of COVID-19 patients," Micron quoted Antara, September 18.

He said another data, namely that COVID-19 patients recovered only increased by 6 people and the number of patients died.

He explained the addition of nine cases of people exposed to the corona virus, so active COVID-19 patients became 79 people spread across Belitung 22, Pangkalpinang 19, Bangka 15, Central Bangka 14, West Bangka 5, South Bangka and East Belitung with 2 COVID-19 patients each.

"Currently, all regencies/cities have isolated COVID-19 patients, so this requires synergy to suppress the increase in cases of transmission and the spread of this corona virus," he said.

According to him, during an effort to suppress the COVID-19 case by intensifying the socialization of the implementation of health protocols and mass vaccinations to the community.

"We urge the public, especially Bangka and Pangkalpinang Regencies, to be more disciplined in implementing health protocols, a healthy clean lifestyle and for residents who have not been vaccinated, they must immediately visit facilities that provide vaccines as an effort to build immunity from the virus and prevent mutations," he said.
