The most common symptoms are fever. According to Hanny, more than 70 percent of patients have a fever. Other symptoms of enlarged lymph nodes, muscle aches, headaches or weakness are the same as other viral infections.The next stage, the patient will enter the skin eruption phase in the form of an abnormality in the skin. Its manifestation begins with red spots, then develops into bintil, levies, pus appear and bursts which will cause a kelapeng."There is a phase of red, bintil, lencing, kelapeng that transmits people to people," said Hanny.Several journals say that bintil or lencing usually starts from the face and then spreads quickly, which is 2-3 days throughout the body, including the genital organ. Transmission from one patient to another occurs through skin contact which has lengths with the skin of another person, with a long enough intensity.Apart from lesi, monkeypox can also be transmitted through sexual contact and respiratory droplets.According to Hanny, unlike the previous variant, the current variant of monkeypox is milder.Therefore, it is possible for patients to undergo self-isolation. Patients can still interact with people outside, but must come from one separate room.During the isolation period, patients are advised to do various hobbies such as watching television, listening to music to maintain their mental health."Cases are monitored by the local health office. That way, support drugs, nutrition, food, monitoring, for example if he has a fever or not, cough or not, so it can be monitored towards complications," said Hanny.Then, just like diseases caused by other viruses, monkeypox can heal by itself as long as the patient has good immune system.According to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is no special treatment for monkeypox. Antiviruses, such as tecovirimat (TPOXX), may be recommended for people who are more likely to be seriously ill, such as patients with weakened immune systems.A person with symptoms of monkeypox is advised to immediately consult with a healthcare provider. Most patients recover completely within 2-4 weeks without requiring medical treatment.
