"I am quite sure that the tourism sector in Belitung with the beauty of natural attractions such as clean beaches is increasingly recognized by the world community", he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 11.

He said the belief was after several G20 delegates from around the world saw firsthand the beauty of Belitung beach tourism and gave great appreciation.

In addition to tourism, said the Regent, the production of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) which was also displayed during the G20 implementation also received serious attention because of its good characteristics and good product quality.

"The tourism sector and MSMEs cannot be separated, these two sectors are expected to be able to grow in the future so that they can make a major contribution to community development and welfare", he said.

Previously, the Italian Ambassador to Indonesia, Benedetto Latteri, praised the beauty of the beaches in Belitung such as the beach in front of the Sheraton Belitung Resort hotel.
