COVID-19 Update as of September 9: 2,804 New Cases Appeared, the Most Still in Jakarta's Hands
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today, Friday 9 September. Of the 69,102 specimens examined, 2,804 new positive cases of COVID-19 were detected.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,387,944 people and active cases have fallen by 2,554 to 35,250", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, September 9.
Today's recovered cases increased by 5,346 cases, bringing the total to 6,194,953 people recovered. Then, positive confirmation that 12 people died and a total of 157,741 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,166 cases and a total of 1,408,154 cases. Followed by West Java with 530 new cases with a total of 1,172,165 cases. Banten has 316 new cases and a total of 333,023 cases. Then, East Java with 297 new cases and a total of 600,699 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,147 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an increase of 1,603 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 541 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 342 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 107,389,399.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 10.27 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,038 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 203,435,374 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,111,977. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 61,135,788 and the fourth dose was 417,323. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
