3 Deputy Chairpersons of the DPRD Bangka Belitung Become Suspects of Corruption for Transportation Allowances for 2017-2021
PANGKALPINANG - The Bangka Belitung Islands High Prosecutor's Office has named four suspects in the case of alleged corruption in the transportation allowance money for the leadership of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2017-2021.
Assistant for Special Crimes at the Bangka Belitung Prosecutor's Office, Ketut Winawa said that four people have been named as suspects, namely S as Secretary of the Bangka Belitung DPRD in 2017, HA, Deputy Chair of the Bangka Belitung DPRD, AC Deputy Chair of the Bangka Belitung DPRD and DY, Deputy Chair of the Bangka Belitung DPRD.
"The four people have been named suspects based on the investigation process and are supported by two valid pieces of evidence", said Ketut Winata as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 8.
He said the investigation began on November 30, 2021, based on the results of the report on the progress of the investigation (P-5) dated July 11, 2022.

From the conclusion of the exposure on Monday, July 12, 2022, it was found that the alleged crime of corruption in transportation allowances was found in the leadership of the DPRD of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2017-2021.
"As a result of the actions of the suspects, the state suffered a loss of around IDR 2.4 billion", he said.
The suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (I) of the Criminal Code.
