Update On COVID-19 As Of 23 November: New Cases Of 4,442, Total Cases Of Translucent 502,110
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 40,038 specimens were examined with the results that there were 4,442 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 502,110 people," data quoted from the Ministry of Health, Monday, November 23.
Cases recovered today increased by 4,198, so that a total of 422,389 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 118 people and a total of 16,002 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,009 new cases and a total of 128,173 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by Central Java which has 1,005 new cases with a total of 48,385 cases. West Java has 602 new cases and a total of 48,666 cases. Then, East Java has 365 new cases and a total of 59,044 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,064 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 1,013 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 392 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 310 recovered cases.
Then, there are 2 provinces that reported having no new cases today. The provinces are Papua and Jambi.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 5,380,620. In detail, as many as 5,284,842 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 95,778 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was 63,279 people. Currently, 505 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
