JAKARTA - The pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti stepped into the second round of the 2022 Japan Open, Tuesday, August 30.

It took the Indonesian women's doubles only 30 minutes to end Catherine Choi/Josephine Wu's resistance from Canada. Apriyani/Siti Fadia won two straight games.

Had given resistance at the beginning of the first game, Choi/Wu finally failed to stem the good performance of the eighth seed. After the 4-4 position, Apriyani/Siti Fadia did not provide an opportunity for their opponents to excel in points.

In fact, they had taken a long lead 19-10, before closing the first game with a score of 21-15.

In the second game, Choi/Wu gave a fierce resistance. They did not let Apriyani/Siti Fadia win far in points.

Unfortunately, their quality is still below the Indonesian doubles. After putting up a fight to a 17-15 position, they were no longer able to stem Apriyani/Siti Fadia.
