After Defeating Joshua, Usyk Just Wants To Fight Fury: If It Wasn't Him, I Wouldn't Have Fought
JAKARTA - Oleksandr Usyk enjoyed his victory over Anthony Joshua on Sunday morning which also saw him defend his heavyweight title. Now, the Ukrainian boxer wants to fight Tyson Fury.
After his second win over Joshua, Usyk made it clear he only wanted to fight Gyspsy King.
"I'm sure Tyson Fury isn't retiring, I'm sure he wants to fight me," Usyk told DAZN and Sky Sports Box Office.
"I want to fight him and if I don't fight Tyson Fury, I won't fight."
Gypsy King himself previously stated that he had retired from boxing. But, in fact, he still wants to return to the ring.
As such, the suspicion is that Fury actually has no intention of retiring and is simply waiting to see who wins between Usyk and Joshua before returning to organize the big fight.
"It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I have ever seen, I will destroy both in the same night," Fury wrote on social media after watching the second Usyk vs Joshua duel.
