Pique And Shakira's Battle For Custody Of Children Is 'harassed' By The Tax Arrears Case, How Will It Continue?

JAKARTA - The battle for custody between Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and singer Shakira continues. The former high-profile couple have been trying to put their children first since their split became public in June.

Pique and Shakira have two children; Milan and Sasha. However, it is not yet clear who will get custody of the two children.

This is because a new case has emerged. Spanish prosecutors have charged Colombian superstar Shakira with a sentence of eight years in prison and a fine of 300 million euros for alleged tax arrears of 14.5 million euros (Rp 219,952,869,590).

It is thought that the ongoing criminal investigation will undermine her children's custody case with Pique. With this possibility in mind, Argentine journalist Javier Ceriani reports that Shakira is seeking a possible peace with the Catalan defender.

"Shakira didn't stop moving, she went to San Diego, Miami, Mexico and the kids arrived in Barcelona exhausted," Ceriani told Chisme No Like via Caras.

"The kids went to their dad's apartment, where he cheated on Shakira, and would spend 15 days there.

"This is a deal he made with Pique, there is a ceasefire under negotiation."
