Social Minister Risma Wants To Review Regulations For Distributing Social Assistance, AGO Fully Supports It
JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharimi or Risma said that his party was reviewing the regulations for distributing social assistance (bansos). This coincided with a review of regulations regarding permits for the collection of money and goods (PUB) carried out by a number of institutions.
Social Minister Risma said previously the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) only coordinated when processing the distribution of social assistance.
"So, in the future, how will social assistance get to its distribution," said Social Minister Risma in Jakarta as quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 11.
Risma asked for community support so that the process of reviewing PUB regulations and supervision of social assistance can go hand in hand, and be completed in August 2022. So far the Ministry of Social Affairs does not know the next process after the social assistance funds are distributed to Himbara Bank.
Risma said that her party only knew when there were complaints from the public. "Because we can't, we don't have a dashboard, to see, to access who has been assisted, who hasn't, we don't have it. So, we will evaluate the Ministry of Social's PKS (Cooperation Agreement) with banks, for example," he said.
In addition, Social Minister Risma also explained to e-waroeng, in addition to having to monitor the price mechanism, his party must also ensure that there are no packaged basic food purchases. Evaluation of the distribution of social assistance will be discussed in more detail, with a target at the end of August 2022.
"Because this supervision is urgent, I also need it, all this time I have also been worried about how this social assistance will arrive or not. I honestly thought it turned out that from the PPATK data it was scary where the money had gone. I was also scared, that's why then We will soon be able to do this, but in parallel, we will make more precise regulations," he said.
The team that will help oversee the distribution of social assistance, is also a team member to review the PUB regulations.
The study team involved many institutions such as the Attorney General's Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, BPKP (Financial and Development Supervisory Agency), PPATK (Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center), and Kemenkumham (Ministry of Law and Human Rights).
Social Minister Risma said that after discussing the permit to organize PUB and distributing social assistance at the end of August, she would sign two Social Ministerial Regulations regarding these two issues.
On the same occasion, Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration Affairs at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Feri Wibisono, supported improvements to the existing mechanisms.
"From the prosecutor's office, from the police, from Kumham, PPPATK, from the KPK, then BPKP supports the Ministry of Social Affairs to make improvements, refinements to existing mechanisms including regulations, systems, and a joint task force team to support the management of social assistance distribution runs better and so that it doesn't cause fraud to become a legal risk," said Feri.
