Thanks To Luigi, Batam Customs Failed 101 Grams Of Methamphetamine To Be Sent To West Lombok
BATAM - A sniffer dog belonging to the Batam Customs K-9 Team managed to find a package containing 101 grams of methamphetamine which will be sent to West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
The Head of the Batam Customs Information Service Section, Undani, stated that the methamphetamine smuggling used the mode of delivery of goods to be sent to West Lombok which was reported as food.
"But before being sent to Lombok, a sniffer dog belonging to the Batam Customs K-9 Team named Luigi responded to the shipment while tracking the goods at the Temporary Storage (TPS)", said Undani in Batam, Riau Islands, Antara, Tuesday, August 9th.
After that, said Undani, the officer then re-checked through the x-ray machine and carried out a physical examination of the item.
“We found two plastic bags containing white crystals hidden in a food can which is suspected to be narcotics. After being tested by Narcotest, it produces a blue color which means it is positive", he said.
Undani said, after the illicit goods were found, it was discovered that the methamphetamine belonged to an individual with the initials P who was planning to send consignments containing methamphetamine to the recipients with the initials AG in West Lombok.
Then the goods are taken to the Batam Customs Office to be used as evidence.
