COVID-19 Update As Of November 15: 4,106 New Cases, Healing Up 3,897
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 32,861 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 4,106 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 467,113 people," he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, November 15.
Today's cases increased by 3,897, so that a total of 391,991 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 63 people and a total of 15,211 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,165 new cases and a total of 118,627 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by Central Java, which has 1,071 new cases with a total of 44,491 cases. West Java has 309 new cases and a total of 39,788 cases. Then, East Java has 217 new cases and a total of 56,287 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,023 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 975 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 276 recovered cases, and Riau with an increase of 268 cases recovered.
Then, there are 7 provinces that reported no new cases today. The provinces are Bangka Belitung, Riau Islands, Southeast Sulawesi, West Papua, Papua, East Nusa Tenggara and Gorontalo.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 5,055,488. In detail, a total of 4,964,342 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 91,146 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.1 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 63,380 people. Currently, 505 districts / cities from 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
