Restaurant Employees Allegedly Harassed 3 Children In Banyumas, Victim Invited To Watch Porn Films And Given Rp50 Thousand In Money

BANYUMAS- The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Banyumas City Police revealed a case of alleged sexual harassment by a man against three boys in Kedungbanteng, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

"The perpetrator with the initials A (41) is an employee of a restaurant in Kedungbanteng," said Head of the Satreskrim of the Banyumas Police Commissioner Agus Supriadi Siswanto in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Antara, Tuesday, August 2.

He said the alleged sexual harassment case was revealed thanks to a report from the parents of one of the victims after hearing his son's story about the perpetrator's actions.

The report was followed up by the Satreskrim of the Banyumas Police by arresting the perpetrator at his rented house located in the Kedungbanteng area, Banyumas Regency, on Monday.

"Based on the results of the examination, A's sexual harassment against the victims began by inviting them to watch pornographic videos together through the perpetrator's device," he said accompanied by the Head of the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) Satreskrim Ipda Metri Zul Utami.

In this case, he said, the perpetrator ordered the victim, who was 12-13 years old on average, into his rented room and asked them to watch pornographic videos before committing sexual harassment. After committing the act, he said, the perpetrator gave Rp. 50,000 to each victim.

Kasatreskrim said the perpetrators had carried out the act three times since May 2022.

"It is known that the perpetrator is not yet married. Meanwhile, the three victims are neighbors of the perpetrator," he said.

According to him, his party is still investigating the possibility of other victims in the alleged sexual harassment case.

"The perpetrators will be charged with Article 82 of the Child Protection Act, which carries a penalty of up to 5 years in prison," said Kompol Agus.
