Starting With 5 Groups, The Second Batch Of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Will Return To Their Homeland Starting July 30

JAKARTA - The second batch of hajj pilgrims began to return to the country from Abdul Aziz Airport (AMAA) Medina on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

"Early this morning, we will start repatriating pilgrims from Medina to the country. God willing, all officers are ready to facilitate the return of pilgrims," said Head of the Medina Daker Amin Handoyo in Medina, Friday.

Amin Handoyo said all officers were ready with the start of the repatriation phase of the second wave of Indonesian pilgrims from Medina to the country.

According to Amin, there are five flying groups (klotters) of Indonesian pilgrims who will depart on the first day of repatriation, namely the Jakarta-Pondok Gede/JKG 24 Embarkation group which flies at 04.30 Saudi Arabian Time (WAS)

Then batch 8 Embarkation Medan/MES 8 at 07.10 WAS, group 5 Embarkation Aceh/BTJ 5 at 08.50 WAS, group 22 Embarkation Solo/SOC 22 at 14.10 WAS, and batch 3 Embarkation Makassar/UPG 3 at 16.50 WAS.

Furthermore, he said the process of weighing the congregation's luggage was carried out two days before their return (D-2). He reminded the congregation to comply with the provisions related to luggage that is prohibited from being included in the luggage suitcase.

"The maximum weight requirements for luggage, cabin bags, and luggage between repatriation through Jeddah and Madinah are no different. Congregants are not allowed to put Zamzam water in their luggage. Also other items that are not allowed under the flight rules," said Amin.

In addition to repatriating the congregation to the country, the Daker of Madinah will also still receive the arrival of the second batch of pilgrims from Makkah. So far, there have been 29,413 congregants belonging to 74 groups who departed from Makkah and arrived in Madinah.

Pilgrims in Medina are currently undergoing the Arbain worship while waiting for their return schedule.

The process for the arrival of pilgrims from Mecca to Medina will last until August 4, 2022. Meanwhile, the return of pilgrims from Medina to the country will end on August 13, 2022.
