Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia 2022 Breaks The Record, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil Takes Part

BANDUNG - The Pocari Sweat Run Indonesia 2022 event broke a record in terms of the number of registrants. As many as 18 thousand people were registered as participants in the running event which was held in Bandung, West Java.

However, not all participants took part in this activity offline. The details are 5,000 participants from 167 cities running offline in Bandung City, and 13,601 participants from 311 cities in Indonesia running virtually.

"This year, it broke the record that there were approximately 18,000 thousand runners registered," said the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, as quoted by Antara, Sunday, July 24.

"You-you are the lucky group who attended Gedung Sate Bandung. Only 5,000 runners were lucky, 13,000 participants ran across the archipelago," he continued, during the opening which was held at Gedung Sate, Bandung.

On this occasion, Ridwan Kamil asked the participants to maintain order, to respect each other's road users. "Hopefully all will return to Gedung Sate," he said, before releasing the participants.

After opening the event, Kang Emil also ran in the 10K category. This running event will circle historical buildings in the city of Bandung. "There is a story like this, whoever organizes the event for the fifth time consistently, it will live a long life. If it is consistent for five years, according to theory, it will definitely become legendary," said Kang Emil. He also said that the enthusiasm of the community to take part in running events from year to year continues to increase. This encourages his party to continue to support the event. "We continue to support it too, and I am very happy that the enthusiasm is increasing day by day, and usually the registration minutes run out immediately," he said. "This is just my pride to express that this activity continues. every year so that it can be legendary," concluded the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil.
