The Issue Of PDIP's Prohibition From Going Outside The Region, Ganjar In Bogor: If The Permit Is Gone, It's Okay

BOGOR - Ganjar Pranowo responded to the issue that he was banned from leaving Central Java by the PDI-P. The Governor of Central Java said the issue of banning outside the region was not true. Most importantly, must coordinate.

This was conveyed by Ganjar while attending the 2022 National Children's Day Celebration at the Bogor Palace Area, West Java, last Saturday.

"No, it's not prohibited," said the two-term governor in his official statement.

The event was also attended by President Joko Widodo, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Bogor Mayor Bima Arya. Ganjar explained that his party's policy was not a ban.

"Just to coordinate. Because I will definitely be assigned to concentrate on taking care of Central Java,” he said.

Ganjar said these rules must be respected. He also agreed that there should be coordination between party administrators in the regions. The PDIP politician reiterated that there is no prohibition on cadres.

"Of course we have to respect that rule and I think it's true, but if it's prohibited, why not," he said.

The former member of the DPR RI explained that he always had permission to go to the party when he had to go out of town.

"Usually if I go I give permission, it's okay," he said.

Previously, news emerged that PDIP had banned the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, from leaving the city. PDI Secretary General Pernuangan Hasto Kristiyanto has also clarified it.

"PDI-P encourages every cadre, whether in the party structure, party legislature, or party executive, to move down, strengthen their political work area by helping the people and pursuing achievements to create a legacy," he said.

Hasto explained that since 2010, a policy on the importance of horizontal and vertical cooperation between party cadres has been made. The cooperation in question is that each cadre learns about each other's success.
