Indonesian Navy Arrests Three Foreigners Suspected As Foreign Spies
JAKARTA - The Ambalat XXVIII Marines Task Force of the Indonesian Navy BKO Guspurla Koarmada II who is currently carrying out duties at the Sei Pancang Post, North Sebatik District, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan, managed to secure six people, consisting of three Indonesian citizens and three foreigners.
The three Indonesian citizens are EW 23 years old, TR 40 years old, and YY 40 years old. Meanwhile, the three foreigners on behalf of LS are 40 years old, HK is 40 years old and BJ is 45 years old.
As reported by www.tni.mil.id, the incident began when the soldiers guarding the Sei Pancang Post, Kopda Mar Mochamad Arif, saw a black Avanza vehicle crossing in front of the Post. Furthermore, Kopda Mar Moch Arif stopped the vehicle and conducted an inspection of people, documents, and goods. It is known that there were six people in the car including the driver without any luggage on Wednesday, July 20.
After it was discovered that there were foreigners, passengers and drivers were then directed to get off, further inspection was carried out at the post. The Commander of the Sei Pancang Post, Lettu Mar Victor Aji Hersanto, checked the completeness of documents and cellphones belonging to foreigners.
"There are photos of military guard posts, border markers, ports of the National Border Post (PLBN) in their cellphone gallery, which can be seen how they were taken secretly," said First Lieutenant Mar Victor Aji Hersanto.

Furthermore, First Lieutenant Mar Victor Aji Hersanto reported this finding to the Dansatgasmar Ambalat XXVIII Marine Captain Andreas Parsaulian Manalu, S.T., and contacted the Kopaska Team, BIN, BAIS, SGI, Intel Kodim 0911, East Sebatik Police, and Immigration for further coordination and handling.
"The illegal taking of these photos can be charged with the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE) Number 19 of 2016. We will hand over the six people to Sebatik Immigration for further processing by securing the perpetrators to the Nunukan Immigration office", said Dansatgas.
