10 Students Arrested Again After Getting Involved In A Brawl In Tebet, South Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Tebet Police have arrested 10 students suspected of being involved in a brawl next to the Al Makmur Mosque on Ismail Buntu Street, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta.

"We found 10 people, some of whom fled, then were chased and managed to be arrested," said Tebet Police Chief, Commissioner Chitya Intania in Jakarta, citing Antara, Monday, July 18.

The ten people who are still students are MR (25), GP (15), SW (15), AH (14), JA (15), MR (14), AA (18), ER (17), AA (15) and MS (16).

At that time, the police were on patrol from KH Abdullah Syafei street through Ismail Buntu street at 05.00 western Indonesia time.

Officers found several people running away and were chased and arrested. Police officers suspect they are going to get into a brawl.

It was found evidence of sharp weapons dumped near the location in the form of a sickle, one bow, and five arrows.

Chitya said there were no casualties so the situation in the area was safe and conducive again.

"The 10 suspected perpetrators have been secured and handed over to the Tebet Police and handled by Team I of the Tebet Police Criminal Investigation Unit," she said.
