Haris said the two groups came from four regions in East Java, namely the regencies of Tuban, Bojonegoro, Lamongan, and the city of Surabaya. Arriving at Juanda International Airport Surabaya in Sidoarjo, the pilgrims were immediately screened to ensure they were healthy from COVID-19.

However, as a result, it is known that seven worshipers are indicated to have COVID-19. Then they did a PCR swab test, and the result was positive for Covid-19. The details are two people from batch one, and five people from batch two

"These pilgrims are immediately screened, to ensure they are safe from COVID-19", he said.

Haris did not mention the details of the seven positive COVID-19 pilgrims from any area. He only mentioned that the seven pilgrims who were exposed to COVID-19 had been returned to their areas of origin with special handling.

"All the pilgrims who were confirmed positive have returned to the area with their own treatment, which will then be handled by the local Health Service", he said.
