Strangers Followed By Motorcycle, Wife Of Indonesian Army Member In Semarang Shot

SEMARANG - Police investigated the shooting by an unknown person against a woman with the initials R (34), the wife of an Indonesian Army  (TNI) member, in front of her house on Cemara III Street, Banyumanik, Semarang City.

The Head of Semarang Police Station, Commissioner Irwan Anwar, was met after examining the scene of the incident, saying that the victim had suffered a stomach wound due to the gunshot.

"Two shots, one lodged in the victim's stomach", he said, as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 18.

From the examination of witnesses, the unfortunate incident occurred when the victim returned home after picking up her child from school.

"The perpetrator is suspected to have followed the victim to the house", he said.

He explained that the victim was shot when he just got off the motorbike.

From the results of the scene, he continued, the victim was allegedly followed by the perpetrators, possibly more than two people riding on two motorbikes.

The police have asked for information from the victim's husband and housemaid who knew firsthand the incident.

According to Commissioner Irwan, the victim's husband, who is a member of the TNI with the rank of corporal, was on the 2nd floor of the house at the time of the incident.

The victim was immediately taken to the hospital for help. In handling the case, he said, the police were supported by the TNI.
