Makassar Pilkada Debate: Imun Offers RT Programs To Prevent Brawls, Deng Ical Answers Danny Pomanto's Satire

JAKARTA - The issue of brawls in Makassar City has caught the attention of the pair of candidates for mayor-deputy mayor Irman Yasin Limpo-Andi Zunnun Armin Nurdin Halid (Imun). It is said that brawls can be prevented as long as there are positive activities.

"We think why there have been fights in Makassar reaching the residents because we should have done a lot of positive activities starting from the RT level. We can create a program, Imun creates activities from the RT to the sub-district level, "said Zunnun in the Makassar Pilkada debate which was broadcast via Youtube KPU Makassar, Saturday, November 7.

This statement was conveyed by Zunnun regarding the theme of the candidate's strategy to form a Makassar society that is cultured to social excesses such as brawls. Regarding this theme, the candidate for mayor of Makassar, M Ramdhan Pomanto or Danny Pomanto, talked about socio-cultural reconstruction. The two programs offered are the total arrangement of cultural and historical destinations and strengthening of city branding by increasing the number of festivals.

Candidate number 3, Syamsu Rizal (Deng Ical) said the concept of cultural engineering was very fitting with the Kampung Sombere program. The program from the Dilan pair mentions a combination of government policy interventions while still involving community participation in one village.

"Cultural engineering is a very actual concept, fits the village of Sombere, making one village with government intervention and the full awareness of community groups in making policies and regulating social institutions. Kampung Sombere is intervened by government policies, there is participation, what we will do is raise the concern of the people, so that there is sharing of resources, "said Deng Ical.

Danny Pomanto responded to this explanation. He questioned the socio-cultural program on the vision and mission of candidate number 3 Deng Ical-Fadli Ananda.

"The issue of socio-cultural security does not appear in candidate pair 3's vision. Everything we have to say must be written because it must be planned well," said Danny Pomanto.

Responding to that, Deng Ical emphasized that real action is needed, not just jargon in building Makassar City.

"This is, if we talk about jargon, we only talk about dreams, so we create a 100-day program to unify our social data to create a RT forum to confirm how many people are poor, how many drop out of school so that we can map out our real solutions," said Deng Ical. answered Danny Pomanto.
