ICW Gives Anti Wind Balm To KPK Supervisory Board After Dropping Alleged Violation Of Ethics Lili Pintauli Siregar
JAKARTA - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) submitted anti-cold balm to the KPK Supervisory Board today, Friday, July 15. The handover was made after Lili Pintauli's ethical violation was declared void because she had resigned from her position as Deputy Chairperson of the KPK.
"Today, our action was to give anti-cold balm to the KPK Council because we felt from the beginning during the trial process the code of ethics came to the determination of the KPK Council's steps," Kurnia told reporters at the KPK ACLC Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Friday, July 15.
Giving balsam is done theatre. Judging by VOI, a person wearing a mask with the face of the Chairperson of the KPK Supervisory Board, Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean, appears to be carrying a green bucket written with anti-cold balm.
The balm was written as effective in alleviating the symptoms of the KPK Supervisory Board's trickery; helping to defuse the wishy-washy decisions of the KPK Supervisory Board; and help improve the integrity of the KPK Supervisory Board.
In addition to balm, ICW also brought anti-cold scrapings with pictures of the faces of the five KPK Supervisory Boards.
Returning to Kurnia, he hopes that this act of giving balm can be a satire to make them more objective, independent, and professional in dealing with alleged ethical violations. Moreover, in dealing with Lili's alleged acceptance, many irregularities occurred.
The first oddity, said Kurnia, was that Lili was said to have resigned on June 30 but the trial was only held on Monday, July 5.
"It means that the KPK Council does not really care about the status of the LPS as the head of the KPK. Therefore, it seems strange that suddenly on July 11, 2022, the KPK Council actually aborts the trial process for the alleged ethical violation," he said.
Then the second oddity, the KPK Council should have considered Lili's act of acceptance that occurred when she was still serving as leader.
"So, of course, we cannot accept the arguments of the KPK Council during the press conference some time ago," he said.
Lili Pintauli was reported to the KPK Supervisory Board for allegedly receiving accommodation and Mandalika MotoGP tickets from PT Pertamina (Persero). In conducting the investigation, Tumpak et al have asked for information from various parties including the President Director of PT Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati.
However, this trial was declared void because the former Deputy Chairperson of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) resigned from his position. The KPK Council reasoned that Lili was no longer a member of the KPK.
